On Sunday, October 27, 2024, Bishop Michel Kassarji, Primate of the Chaldean Church in Lebanon, assisted by Monsignor Raphael Traboulsi, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of Saint Raphael in Baabda-Brazilia at 10:30 AM, on the occasion of the feast of its patron saint and the patron of the diocese. The Cathedral Choir and the choir of Saint Joseph Chaldean Parish in Sadd El-Bouchrieh served the liturgy. Members of the community attended the Mass, and prayers were offered with the intention of bringing peace to Lebanon.
After the Gospel reading, Bishop Kassarji delivered a sermon that reflected on the significance of the occasion, drawing connections between the events of the Book of Tobit and the ongoing suffering and injustices faced by the people due to the ongoing war in the beloved homeland.
