On the occasion of its patron saint’s feast, and upon the invitation of the Parish Council of Saint George – Boummizane and its priest, Monsignor Raphael Traboulsi, took part in the festive Mass presided over by Bishop Constantine Kayal at the parish on the evening of May 5, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. The celebration witnessed a large ecclesiastical, political, and popular presence that filled the church and its courtyards.
After the Mass, a procession was held with the miraculous icon of Saint George and his relics, which had arrived from Palestine – the Holy Land. The celebration concluded with a gathering around the table of fellowship at the Monastery of Saint Elias – Shwayya.
