From Thursday to Sunday, April 17–20, 2025, on the occasion of Holy Week and Easter, His Excellency Bishop Michel Kassarji, primate of the Chaldean Church in Lebanon, presided over the liturgical services of the Washing of the Feet, the Funeral of Christ, and the Blessing of the Light and Resurrection rites at Saint Raphael Chaldean Cathedral in Baabda – Brazilia.
He was assisted by Monsignor Raphael Traboulsi, Vicar General, while the Good Friday homily was delivered by Father Ramzi Greige, Regional Superior of the Lazarist Fathers.
The services were led by the choirs of the Cathedral and Saint Joseph Parish, with a large attendance of the faithful, as well as the participation of monks and nuns.
On Easter Monday, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Church of the Resurrection in the Chaldean Cemetery in Fanar – Ain Saadeh. That same evening, at 6:00 p.m., the Saint Joseph Chaldean Choir, along with cantors Nawar Ramo and Youssef Samir, presented a hymn evening on the Passion and Resurrection titled: “Do This in Memory of Me.”
