On Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., His Beatitude Patriarch Mar Paul III Nona, Patriarch of the Chaldean Church in Iraq and throughout the world, visited His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II Karim, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East of the Syriac Orthodox Church, at the Patriarchal Headquarters in Atchaneh. The meeting was attended by Bishops Michel Kassarji, Cyrillus Babi, Roger Akhras, Daniel Kourieh, George Saliba, Paulus Safar, and Eugène El-Qass, together with Fathers Raphael Traboulsi, Karam Shamasha, Nabil Al-Danno, and the hermit monk Fr. Thomas. Following an exchange of greetings and congratulations in the Patriarchal residence, the participants discussed recent developments affecting Christians in the Middle East.
