On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, the Bishop of the Chaldean Church in Lebanon, His Excellency Michel Kassarji, led a delegation to visit the President of Lebanon, Joseph Aoun. The delegation included Monsignor Raphaël Traboulsi, General Vicar; Father Elie Raad; Deacon Raphaël Koupaly; Mr. Antoine Hakim, President of the Supreme Council; Mr. Vincent Zarifeh, President of the Charitable Association; as well as Mr. Michel Hallak, Mr. Jacques Khayat, Mr. Walid Joulakh, Dr. George Bachir, and Mr. Narcy Hakim.
During the meeting, Bishop Kassarji delivered a speech congratulating President Aoun on his election and advocating for fair parliamentary and ministerial representation for minorities, highlighting their capabilities and contributions to the nation. In response, President Aoun praised the Chaldean community and encouraged continued efforts toward building a state based on law and strong institutions.
