Marian Hymns Evening for Pentecost and the Month of Mary

On Saturday, May 23, 2026, on the occasion of the approaching Feast of Pentecost and the holy Month of Mary, the Chaldean Diocese of Beirut, in collaboration with Saint Thomas the Apostle School in Sed EL Baouchrieh, the Mother of Divine Mercy Center, and the Chaldean Charitable Association, organized a Marian spiritual hymns evening under the title: “Totally Yours, O Mary,” held in the parish of Saint Elias Dekweneh for the Greek Catholics in the evening.

The beautiful hymns were performed by the students of the school under the direction of Ms. Celina El Hajj and supervised by Ms. Mira Kassarji. The celebration was attended and sponsored by His Excellency Bishop Michel Kassarji, Primate of the Chaldean Church in Lebanon. Also participating were His Excellency Bishop Krikor Robert Badishah, Patriarchal Vicar of the Armenian Catholics, Archimandrite Arsenius Hanonik, Monsignor Raphael Traboulsi, Vicar General, and Fathers Elie Allam, Fadi Iskandar, Joseph Raffoul, and Ninos Ouda, in addition to Deacons Nabil Riyad Al-Danno and Dani Shiba, Mr. Vincent Zarifeh, president of the charitable association, Deacon Raphael Koupaly, director of the Mother of Divine Mercy Center, as well as the students’ families and beloved members of the community.

Cantor Youssef Samir, singer Shamiran Ramo, and some of the students, together with Ms. Mira Kassarji and Ms. Celina El Hajj, performed several solo parts. Monsignor Traboulsi delivered a Marian reflection before the diocesan bishop concluded the prayerful evening with a paternal address highlighting the meanings of Pentecost and the Marian month.

At the conclusion, as Télé Lumière broadcast the celebration live, commemorative photos were taken, and all raised their prayers to the Mother of God, asking her to protect her people and country and to spread peace throughout our land.
