On Wednesday, December 25, 2024, Bishop Michel Kassarji, Primate of the Chaldean Church in Lebanon, presided over the Divine Liturgy in celebration of Christmas. The service was held at 10:30 a.m.
He was assisted by Monsignor Raphael Traboulsi, the Vicar General, and Jesuit Father Antranik Kokorian, with the participation of the choirs of St. Joseph and St. Thomas, as well as the esteemed deacons who served during the liturgy.
The celebration witnessed a large gathering of the Chaldean faithful. In his sermon, Bishop Kassarji highlighted the spiritual and human meanings of Christmas. At the end of the service, he honored artist Nada Aoun by presenting her with a plaque of appreciation for her contributions in creating the special Jubilee Year illustrations for the Chaldean Diocese of Beirut.
The celebration concluded with the exchange of greetings among attendees in an atmosphere of joy and faith.
