On Monday, January 19, 2026, the Primate of the Chaldean Church in Lebanon, Bishop Michel Kassarji, visited His Holiness and Beatitude Patriarch Mar Ignatius Aphrem II Karim, Syriac Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch, at the Patriarchal Center in Atchaneh, in the presence of Bishops Joseph Bali and Daniel Kourieh, along with Deacon Nabil Riad. During the visit, His Excellency invited His Holiness and Beatitude to participate in the closing of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, scheduled to take place at St. Raphael Cathedral in Baabda–Brazilia at 6:00 p.m. on January 25, 2026.
