On Tuesday, December 3, 2025, His Beatitude Cardinal Mar Louis Raphael Sako participated in the celebratory Mass led by His Holiness Pope Leo XIV at the Beirut waterfront, attended by patriarchs, cardinals, senior priests, clergy, consecrated members, and laity who filled the squares and streets leading to the event. He was accompanied by His Excellency Bishop Sabri Anar, ViRaphael Trabloussi, and deacons Dani Sheba and Nabil Riyad. In the evening, His Beatitude appeared on the Tele Lumière – Noursat channel, interviewed by journalist Lea Maamari on the program “Blessed Are the Peacemakers.” At the conclusion of the interview, Ms. Maamari presented His Beatitude and Bishop Michel Kassarji with a commemorative gift on behalf of Tele Lumière – Noursat, a statuette of Pope Leo XIV. Later, His Beatitude was interviewed by Italian journalist Leon Grotti from the magazine Tempi, discussing the Pope’s visit to Turkey and Lebanon. In the evening, he met with a delegation of the Chaldean Church from the United States participating in the Pope’s visit to Lebanon, giving them his paternal blessing and checking on their well-being.
