Bishop Michel Kassarji, head of the Chaldean Church in Lebanon, took part in the proceedings of the fifty-eighth ordinary session of the Council of Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops in Lebanon, held at the Patriarchal See in Bkerké, with the participation of the superiors general of the Catholic religious orders. The opening session addressed the current issues facing both the Church and Lebanese society, as well as the spiritual, social, and humanitarian challenges, in light of the delicate circumstances the country is experiencing.
