On the afternoon of Friday, July 24, 2026, His Beatitude Patriarch Mar Paul III Nona, Patriarch of the Chaldean Church in Iraq and throughout the world, visited His Beatitude Patriarch Joseph I Absi, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church, at the Patriarchal See in Rabweh. Following a joint prayer for peace in the Church of Saint Anne, Patriarch Nona expressed his joy at meeting Patriarch Absi and reaffirmed the deep fraternal bonds between the two Churches. He also stressed the importance of adopting a united Christian stance to safeguard the Christian presence in the Arab world.
