On Wednesday, July 15, 2026, His Excellency Bishop Michel Kassarji, accompanied by Fr. Nabil Riyad Al-Dallo, visited the Embassy of Qatar in Beirut to offer heartfelt condolences on the passing of His Highness the Father Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. His Excellency Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Ambassador of Qatar to Lebanon, expressed his appreciation for their gesture and praised the strong and longstanding relations between the State of Qatar and the Chaldean Church, both in Iraq and throughout the countries of the Middle East.
