On Sunday, January 25, 2026, the Primate of the Chaldean Church in Lebanon, Bishop Michael Kassarji, welcomed an American delegation from San Diego and Texas, who participated in the Divine Liturgy before meeting His Excellency at the episcopal residence salon. The delegation included Mr. Thaer Qonja, Elian Daniel, Nada Qonja, Iman Salem, and Afaf Qonja, and they were accompanied by Ms. Rola Hanna, a member of the Jdeideh–Bouchrieh–Sed Municipality Council, and Deacon Danny Sheba. Discussions focused on the concerns and affairs of the Chaldean Church in Lebanon, as well as broader matters related to the Chaldean world, especially in diaspora countries, in addition to the purpose of their visit to Lebanon, the Land of the Cedars, and their meetings with several officials in the Jdeideh–Bouchrieh–Sed Municipality.
