Bishop Michel Kassarji, Shepherd of the Chaldean Church in Lebanon, took part in the proceedings of the annual Synod of the Chaldean Church, held from 17 to 22 November 2025 at the Patriarchal residence in the Mansour district of Baghdad, under the presidency of His Beatitude Patriarch Cardinal Louis Raphaël Sako, and in the presence of twenty bishops from the East and the countries of the diaspora. The Synod addressed the most pressing challenges facing the Chaldean Church worldwide, the situation of the Chaldean faithful in light of the current political and economic conditions, as well as pastoral and administrative matters aimed at strengthening the Church’s mission and enhancing its service.
