Commemoration of the Beirut Port Explosion – Chaldean Participation

The Chaldean Diocese of Beirut, represented by Bishop Michel Kassarji, participated in the Divine Liturgy organized by the Maronite Archdiocese of Beirut under the patronage of His Beatitude Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi on the morning of Monday, August 4, 2025, at Saint Joseph – La Sagesse Church, Beirut, in commemoration of the fifth anniversary of the Beirut Port explosion. The Mass was presided over by Archbishop Paul Abd al-Sater, Maronite Archbishop of Beirut, with the participation of numerous bishops, priests, and nuns, alongside a broad official and popular attendance that included political and military figures and the families of the port explosion martyrs. This participation reflected fraternal and spiritual solidarity with the families of the martyrs and the injured, affirming the Churches’ commitment to pray for justice and hope for Lebanon’s recovery from pain and devastation toward a better future marked by peace and justice.
