The Relics of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus Visit the Chaldean Diocese of Beirut

On Sunday, July 20, 2025, as part of the 150th Jubilee celebrations marking the Chaldean presence in Lebanon, the relics of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus visited the Chaldean Diocese of Beirut in Baabda-Brasilia, noting that the first Chaldean church built in Beirut bore the name of this saint renowned across the world. The procession began at 9:00 a.m. from the start of Pierre El Helo Street toward the cathedral, accompanied by the choir’s hymns, the beat of the marching band, and the scouts, all amid an atmosphere of joy and celebration filled with ululations, the scent of incense, and the fragrance of roses and flowers. Following the recitation of the Rosary in the presence of the relics, the Divine Liturgy was presided over by the Chaldean Bishop Michel Kassarji, assisted by the Vicar General Monsignor Raphael Traboulsi and a number of priests. The Mass was served by the choirs of the Cathedral and Saint Joseph, with the participation of deacons, monks, nuns, and laypeople who crowded the church, having come from all directions to honor she who traveled the world spreading the flowers of love, faith, and hope, and soothing hearts with the balm of peace and reconciliation. The liturgical celebration was broadcast on the luminous screen of Télé Lumière.
