Feast of the Holy Family and the Martyrdom of the Children of Bethlehem Celebration at St. Raphael Cathedral

On Sunday, December 29, 2024, in celebration of the Feast of the Holy Family and the Martyrdom of the Children of Bethlehem, under the patronage of Bishop Michel Kassarji, Primate of the Chaldean Church in Lebanon, St. Raphael Chaldean Cathedral Parish in Baabda-Brazilia held a Christmas Mass attended by families of the diocese and around 400 children from the beloved community, including Iraqis, Lebanese, and Syrians.
The Divine Liturgy was presided over by the Vicar General Monsignor Raphael Traboulsi, who delivered a sermon emphasizing the importance of the family in Christian life and the role of upbringing in the proper development and growth of children.
The cathedral choir led the prayers, followed by a gathering at the Chaldean Youth Club where the Chaldean Charity Association distributed aid to needy families. A delightful Christmas celebration, organized by the esteemed Mrs. Elvira Touhi and her assistants in collaboration with the Iraqi youth in Lebanon and with the participation of Fathers Raphael Traboulsi, Fadi Iskandar, and Kareem Kalash, included acrobatic performances, various games, and a joyful appearance by Santa Claus, who handed out gifts amid an atmosphere of joy, cheer, and delight!
