On the occasion of the jubilee year and in light of the humanitarian and security catastrophe casting its dark shadow over southern Lebanon, the southern suburb of Beirut, and parts of the Bekaa Valley, Monsignor Rafael Traboulsi celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Chaldean St.Joseph Parish in Sad al-Baouchrieh on Sunday, September 22, 2024, to highlight the feast of the great martyr and the holy apostle, Saint Takla.
After the Gospel reading, Monsignor Rafael Traboulsi delivered a sermon addressing the meanings of martyrdom and witness in Christianity, offering prayers for the healing of the sick and wounded, the repose of the souls of the martyrs, and beseeching heaven to pour down peace upon Lebanon, Iraq, Palestine, Syria, Russia, Ukraine, and all the corners of the earth.
