Year Divine Liturgy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday morning 1-1-2021, Bishop Michel Kassarji, Primate\u00a0 of the Chaldean Church in Lebanon,\u00a0 presided over New Year&#8217;s Divine Liturgy,  at the Saint Elias Church (Dekwaneh). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the Gospel, Bishop Kassarji delivered a sermon in which he emphasized that celebrating Mass at the beginning of the year is a sign of our hope for a year full of joy and peace despite all the hardships we face, and he wished that this year would be a year of security and peace for Lebanon, Iraq and the whole world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the mass, Bishop Kassarji handed the prize of competition of the &#8220;Best Creche&#8221;, which the diocese had launched a few weeks ago in an initiative to encourage
